We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer passionate about IT to join our Technical Operations team as a result of NMI's continued growth and investment in the underlying systems.
The Technical Operations team is responsible for the running of all hardware and software within the production and office environment. This consists of a WAN connecting different sites over the globe which has to be highly available 24x7.
This role will focus on maintenance of the global network which connects our data-centers and the core of our platform. In this role, you will monitor and maintain the network whilst helping with the design and migration of the platform to the next generation.
There is an out of hours on-call rota that will require the Senior Network Engineer to respond to and resolve or escalate any network related problems within the SLA.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all network devices.
- Assist in designing network architecture.
- Hardware lifecycle management.
- Firewall / Switching configuration reviews.
- On-Call for network related incidents.
- Test and document the network performance.
- Configure effective routing policies and procedures and reconfigure policies to ensure best performance.
- Incident root cause analysis; solutions to prevent future network outages.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience of network devices (Preferably Juniper and Fortinet)
- JNCIS and above
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols
- Understanding network security (firewalls and IDS) design and implementation.
- Network design
- Cloud network design and management (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills
- Firewall HA / Clustering
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- F5 LTM load balancers
- IPS security devices
- DDoS mitigation solutions and design methodologies.
- DevOps and Automation / Scripting
