What you will do: - Design and implement safe, reliable, and efficient electrical power generation and distribution systems.
- Help the sales team secure contracts by visiting client sites and crafting creative economical solutions.
- Assist with the procurement of new electrical, refrigeration, and compressed air rental assets.
- Test, install, commission, program, and troubleshoot low voltage and medium voltage switchgear, transformers, voltage regulators, motor controllers, and PLCs.
- Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
- Perform light drafting duties using AutoCAD to create and modify single-line diagrams, location plans, grounding plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Carry out peer-review of engineering deliverables.
- Inspect equipment and systems for electrical code and safety deficiencies.
- Travel approximately 25%
Were experts, which means you will have the following skills and experience: - Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant hands-on work experience
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- General understanding of engineering economics, estimating, budgeting, and basic financial principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to persuade through the use of logical arguments and objective data
- Working knowledge of relevant industry-consensus codes and standards from NFPA, IEEE, and UL
