Data Scientist, People Analytics

Job Status: Full-time, Exempt

Job Summary: The Data Scientist, People Analytics is a key member of the Strategy & Analytics team, responsible for building models and conducting complex analyses across the full talent lifecycle, including acquisition, training, retention, and performance optimization. Essential Functions:

Develop a broad expertise in NexReps people data to understand the full landscape.

Collaborate with business teams, including Talent Acquisition and Operations to understand business needs and develop solutions.

Collaborate with Data Engineering to architect and develop the people analytics database. Strengthen our foundation for analytics across the talent lifecycle, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.

Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the talent lifecycle to design, build, and test holistic data and visualization solutions.

Build and refine models used to optimize talent assessment and selection.

Analyze and report on attrition and retention metrics, including root causes of attrition. Build models to help predict and prevent attrition.

Drive the analysis and segmentation of talent to help optimize performance. Segmentation may be based on day of week, time of day, length of shift, acquisition channels, certifiers, etc.

Create reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations to share insights and forecasts with internal stakeholders.

Advise senior leadership on data needs and key data-driven opportunities and actions.

Support complex, strategic data and analysis requests from senior leadership.

Hours/Travel: We offer a flexible office culture, with the expectation that most work will be completed Monday-Friday during daytime hours. Limited evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required to meet client needs. This role will work remotely or in a hybrid model. Some travel may occasionally be required, up to 10% of the time.



Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, or a related field. MS degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field strongly preferred.

4+ years of related experience. Preference given to those with experience in data science and people analytics.

Expert knowledge of advanced statistical and machine learning methods and models (e.g., regression, cluster analysis, text analysis, longitudinal methods, Nave Bayes, decision trees, random forests, etc.).

Skilled in working with error-prone, disparate, and unstructured data.

Advanced Python and/or R Skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and statistical software (IBM SPSS Statistics, STATA, SAS, or similar)

Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and data visualization tools.

Proficiency in reading and writing SQL queries.

Ability to translate data into compelling and easy-to-understand insights, stories, and narratives that resonate with a non-technical audience.

Strong attention to detail, highly organized and efficient.

Skilled critical thinker and creative problem solver.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization.

Bonus points for contact center experience.
