Note:

This is a Shift and Weekend position.

Shift will be Thursday / Friday 3pm 11:30pm ET and Saturday /Sunday 7am-7pm ET. Must be willing to work an on-call shift in rotation.

This position does allow for flexible remote work, but candidates MUST be willing to report in person to Raleigh, NC for the first 2-3 (estimated) days to pick up equipment and ensure that all access is available.

This would be at no cost to Peraton or the customer.

After these initial days they would be able to work remote.

Job Description

This position is responsible for providing technical leadership for the availability, performance, and functionality of key components and systems in a complex Production Support environment. Standard schedule for this position will be first shift Monday through Friday with additional hours and days as required supporting emergency situations.

This position occasionally requires working overtime to meet tight deadlines, working during off-hours to avoid disruptions or to provide 24-hour coverage, and providing on-call support.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to

Overall responsibility for the Oracle Financials Data Base Administration, including daily monitoring, maintenance, problem management, Administration, and production support for multiple Oracle Applications E-Business Suite environments.

System administration activities such as managing concurrent managers/concurrent programs and managing AOL objects (Functions/Menus/Responsibilities/Request groups/Users etc.,)

Coordinate all Oracle Financials and other related application database requests, follow through on requests, disaster recovery testing, SOX/PCI compatibility and maintenance of the application database environments

Cloning Oracle application databases using Rapid clone and other technologies.

Patching Oracle Applications using adpatch and responsible for evaluating patching requests, communicating constraints, issues and timelines for deployment.

Performing database & Application upgrades

Support implementing Oracle Applications on Real Application Clusters (RAC) using Oracle Databases in a large-scale Linux environment

Backing up and recovering Oracle databases using RMAN.

Support change management including maintenance across multiple environments and deploying approved patches

Supporting performance tuning in complex Oracle environments at all levels (RAC, PCP, ASM etc.)

Provide production and operational support including pro-active database monitoring, and issue resolution.

Analyze and develop innovative solutions for complex problems involving availability and/or performance at the system level. Work with vendors to resolve problems.

Interact with customers and provide leadership in developing and recommending innovative solutions to business problems of high complexity, including preparation of economic models, cost-benefit analysis and project budgets for technology acquisition.

Develop and maintain specialized knowledge of current and emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor Degree and minimum 15 years of experience.

Minimum 5+ Years Oracle eBusiness/Financials experience.

Familiarity with Oracle Ebusiness Architecture.

RMAN & ASM familiarity.

Familiarity with Demantra & OBIEE.

Oracle Applications DBA must have outstanding Database design skills including complex architecture designs and databases over 1TB.

Functional Expertise - General understanding of the Oracle Applications financial modules (AP, AR, FA, GL, etc.,)

Oracle Application Server - Candidate must understand the internals of the Oracle concurrent manager and understand how to monitor and tune Oracle Applications.

Familiarity with Oracle Advanced Supply Chain, Financials, Demantra, iSupplier/iProcurement, OBIEE, RMAN, SSO, OID, RAC, ASM, high availability setups for CMs, DB & Apps tier.

Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.

Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years

Preferred Qualifications

Experience cloning and patching the E-Business environment utilizing tools such as rapid clone, adadmin, adctrl and adpatch.

Experience supporting Oracle Applications versions, SQL*PLUS, PL/SQL, UNIX shell scripts, Apache, OC4J

Communication expert oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to explain technical issues to customers, team members and management

Experience with RAC, Data guard, and ASM

Oracle Certification strongly preferred.
