We are seeking a skilled Software Integration Engineer to join our team at the Mississippi Department of Human Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software integration solutions for complex software systems. The candidate will also work closely with the development team and technical staff to ensure the seamless integration of software components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement software integration solutions for complex software systems.
  • Collaborate with the development team, technical staff and vendors to identify and resolve software integration issues in the development of products and services.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the successful integration of software components and systems.
  • Develop and maintain software integration documentation.
  • Design and develop software integration frameworks and tools that meet organizational requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software integration issues and improvements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot software integration issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software integration technologies and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the development team on software integration issues.

Required Skills/Experience

Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position. These requirements will be transferred to the Score Sheet and candidates without these requirements reflected on their resume will NOT be presented to the manager for consideration.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in complex software integration engineering that includes transition from leagacy systems to modern platforms and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of software integration methodologies and best practices that includes software maintence operations.
  • Experience with software integration tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
  • Experience with software development languages such as Java, Python, .net, and C++.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in Agile software development and DEVOPS configuration management methodologies is a plus.

Preferred/Not Required

Provide any skills/experience that would be helpful for the candidate to possess but not required. Examples: Previous supervisory experience, WebLogic experience helpful, etc.

Proven experience with MS Power BI and Power Automation.

Proven Experience in SNAP / TANF / LIHEAP Human Services Domains. Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes container applications.

Proven experience in Information Security and the NIST Secure Softare Development Frameworks (SSDF). Integration experince in hybrid or multiple cloud environments.

Experience in a DevSecOps environment or in transitioning DevOps to DevSecOps. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
