We're seeking a Director of Finance to join our team and provide strategic financial leadership while supporting our commitment to being an employee-friendly, community-friendly, and environmentally friendly organization.

As our Director of Finance, you'll be part of a team passionate about producing high-quality and personalized products while optimizing American manufacturing. You'll be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our financial operations, and will work closely with our senior management team on developing, implementing, and executing financial strategies. In this role, you'll be a key driver behind ensuring we can continue to scale our business while also supporting our values and commitment to our employees, customers, and the environment.

NOTE: You must be able to legally work in the United States, and we do not have relocation assistance available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior management to develop and execute Buttonsmith's financial strategy
• Oversee all aspects of finance, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and tax compliance, and recommend improvements to financial processes
• Manage cash flow, banking, and investor relations; lead fundraising efforts as needed
• Provide strategic analysis and financial modeling to drive business decisions
• Ensure financial compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards
• Manage relationships with external parties including auditors and tax advisors
• Develop and oversee our performance management framework, focusing on company objectives and KPIs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred. CPA would be great.
• At least 7 years of financial leadership experience in a fast-paced company.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial modeling, and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that align with key business objectives.
• Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and managing relationships with external stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with experience managing teams.
• Passion for socially and environmentally responsible business practices.
