The Accounts Payable role is an opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a dynamic business with high visibility and growth ambitions. Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Update the AP tracker on a daily basis as invoices are received in the AP inbox, shared drive, or directly from vendors
• Accurately process vendor invoices daily in a timely manner, including but not limited to manual data entry and managing automated upload
• Create AP batches, including appropriate backup daily
• Review approved invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
• Prepare payment (EFT, ACH, and / or wire) batches for manager review prior to processing
• Prepare AmEx receipt request email and documentation to share with internal cardholders on a weekly basis.
• Apply cash payments in the ledger and perform bank reconciliations at least on a weekly basis, if not more frequent
• Ensure Accounts Payable is closed and reconciled by Day 1 of the close
• Processing of year end 1099s
• Any other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must have 3 5 years of accounts payable experience
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication
• Must have working knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to handle multiple tasks is a must
• Must be able to meet deadlines, especially during month, quarter, and at year end
• Must be able to work independently and be self-sufficient at periodic times.
• Knowledge of Workday ERP is preferred
• Requires advanced use of MS office; including, word, excel, power point
• High School diploma or equivalent is required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position
• Shift Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• This is a remote position located in the United States (preferably EST).
• Weekend Requirements: as needed
• Holiday Requirements: as needed
