RumbleOn is seeking a Software Development Manager who is versatile, flexible, detail oriented, and who works well in a fast-paced environment. If playing a key role in a growing company excites you, this may be the position for you! We are looking for someone local to the Dallas/Fort Worth area who is eager to working in-office, full time, alongside our awesome team!

As the Software Development Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to oversee our software development teams and act as a liaison between the teams and senior leadership. You will train new staff, manage and evaluate existing developers, analysts and engineers, provide guidance on the design and implementation of new software applications, and ensure that projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading a group of analysts and engineers (6-8) in a cross-functional team, developing customer facing applications as well as software to support our internal operations
• Define scope of work, timelines, and deliverables that support business goals
• Direct and manage development projects from beginning to end
• Day-to-day management of the teams skill sets, workloads, and schedules
• Communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and effective fashion
• Coach and support team members as needed to grow their capabilities
• Foster a culture of innovation to improve our systems and the development process

Requirements

• 5+ years' of software development or analyst experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience as a manager/team lead of an applications development team
• Must have a strong background of the SDLC
• SOX compliance familiarity strongly desired
• An aptitude to assess, troubleshoot and resolve development issues for an in-house application development team
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology. Jira experience a plus
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Experience with technologies, including but not limited to: SQL, React, JSON, GitHub, AWS, C#, etc., preferred
• PMP certification is a plus
• Positive attitude and team player
• The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, able to balance multiple projects and meet defined goals
