Job Title: Assembler

Location: Oro Valley, AZ 85755

Duration: 6+ Months(With possibility of extension)

Job Description:

The Production Assembler I perform a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations, under well-defined instructions and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.

Job Core Responsibilities:

Use electric soldering equipment to the IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standard.
Cut, prepare, and pre-tin wires.
Must be computer literate.
Ability to record and enter data into an Excel spreadsheet, and communicate via e-mail and Microsoft Word
Apply a conformal coat, marking, and adhesive bonding.
Prepare batteries.
Use hand tools and power tools.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Complete work according to instructions, specifications, and procedures, under direct supervision
Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by the supervisor.
Complete work under limited supervision.
Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Maintain an acceptable safety record.
Adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Assist other departments with job duties and tasks, as needed.
Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by the supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities.
Lift and Carry up to 30 lbs.
Use hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering guns.
Use head and neck in a static position, looking up/down and side-to-side.
Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands.
Perform light lifting from the floor, table, and shelf.
Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.
Minimal: heavy lifting from the floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling.
Minimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, and uneven walking surfaces.

Job Specifications:

Education:

A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience to successfully perform job expectations is preferred.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in a related field
Years Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience

Skills:

Good mechanical aptitude
Able to operate a variety of hand tools and light machinery
Capable of performing basic mathematics
Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedure
Good manual dexterity is required to work with small parts
Able to problem-solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
