EndoArt is seeking a responsible Sterilization Technician.

The roles of this position are to manage the dental office infection control plan to meet OSHA and CDCs standards, handle instrument cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, maintenance and organization of the central sterilization area, overseeing repairs and maintenance of equipment, and turning over consultation/treatment rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a neat and organizational work area.
  • Operate cleaning equipment according to the procedures and protocols.
  • Decontaminate and sterilize dental instruments, dental supplies, wraps and sterilize cassettes.
  • Follows proper Standard Precautions while in sterilization area and follows proper PPE protocols.
  • Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of dental instruments and supplies.
  • Sort mismatched sets of dental instruments and supplies to make them available to assistants and doctors in a timely manner.
  • Restock central sterilization, collect and distribute instruments/supplies evenly throughout all treatment rooms, and put together consultation and treatment tray setups.
  • Turning over consultation/treatment rooms.
  • Restocking rooms.
  • Seating patients when help is necessary.
  • Helping keep the communal areas clean, neat and picked up.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
  • At least 1-year experience in a hospital or dental setting.
