A background as an experienced senior level developer with the ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment that can multi-task using a variety of BI technologies.
Hands-on background and development experience with Oracle BI and ODI Components, and a proven track record of providing BI solutions.
Experience in cloud computing, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Expertise in Data Warehouse concepts and principles.
Good in-depth knowledge of the ETL tool Oracle Data Integrator (both ODI 11g and ODI 12c versions).
Experience upgrading OBIA mappings from ODI 11g to ODI 12c
Worked in BI projects that sourced data from large databases over 10 TB, Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft HCM and Hyperion Budget and Planning including cloud-based applications.
A background with the implementation and use of an Enterprise Reporting solution in Oracle technologies, such as Oracle Discoverer, BI Publisher, OBIEE, OAS, and Oracle Reports.
Flexibility and can adapt as required, while working in a multi-faceted and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Consultant Deliverables:

The consultant selected for this work order will be responsible for the following tasks:
Proactively support application middleware technologies and integration: Monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting and configuration of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) technologies.
Provide best practice recommendations for OBIA migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Monitor and tune Oracle BI: perform a variety of system administration tasks that may include:
o Design all new or changes to existing security responsibilities
o Job scheduling
o Application configurations to support presentation and query requirements
Develop and test ETL application following ETL standards and architecture
Develop and test Oracle BI applications: Dashboards and Analytics
Database analysis and query tuning
Load testing
Perform source control and code migration, RPD data modeling, Data warehouse data modeling. Assure that Best Practices are adhered to for code, model and analytic development. Make recommendations and establish measures for data quality improvements. Assist the business analysts and technical team with data related issues such as: assessing data quality, data consolidation, evaluating data sources. Lead in the development of the Business Intelligence application(s).
Identify and define the DW key facts and dimensions necessary to support the business requirements, develops the logical dimensional model(s). Develops entity and attribute descriptions and definitions for the models and ensures that conflicts in descriptions and definitions are resolved. Performs the activities necessary to support the standardization of facts and dimensions.
Perform quality assurance functions and assist the business analyst in mapping the data from source to target; support data related issues such as assessing data quality, data consolidation, evaluating existing data sources and enforcing ETL and OAS standards and architecture.
Participate in technology projects and system upgrades
Create/Modify Linux scripts to support BI Technical stack
Execute test plans and document results and discrepancies
