Our Platform teams mission is to enable Norstellas business lines to bring their ideas to market more quickly while enabling world-class product experiences for our customers. The Platform team sits centrally within Norstella and creates shared capabilities, frameworks, and best practices that power our customer-facing products.

We are currently looking for a Product Manager who is excited about building robust platforms that enable our product development teams to bring new product concepts to market faster. You are a self-starter who can bring structure and organization to a variety of complex customer problems and then drive solutions to those problems by bringing together multiple, distributed, cross-functional teams.

Role Responsibilities:

Reporting to global product leadership, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Engage directly with internal business and product development teams to understand needs, validate priorities, and involve directly in the Platform product development process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, UX, IT, and Data teams to deliver high quality capabilities that become part of our shared product platform.
  • Own and execute Platform product roadmap through backlog management, requirements gathering, and user stories development.
  • Lead design and development resources in executing product initiatives.
  • Help drive buy/build/partner decisions for components as necessary.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze product metrics, and make recommendations based on data.
  • Act as the key evangelist internally for the shared product platform.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience as a product manager, technical lead, or similar role within a technology-enabled company.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and understanding of technical concepts.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to make evidence-based decisions, optimize the platform, and understand user behavior.
  • Knowledge of APIs, micro-services, and analytics-driven product development process concepts.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design and delivery principles.
  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to build consensus across functional boundaries.
  • Experience in product operations, design operations, or development operations a plus.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000-$145,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
