Location: Columbia, SC

Duration: 12+ months

This position will serve as an EDI Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define detailed mapping of data transformations between internal and external components.
• Create and maintain documentation of data mapping rules and other metadata
• Analyze business requirements to recommend best solutions considering needs, costs, and time
• Participate in team meetings as needed
• Serve as liaison between the client team and external stakeholders
• Assist production support team with troubleshooting and resolution of incidents

Skills Needed

• Working knowledge of most X12 transaction sets
• At least 5 years of experience working with data translation systems
• At least 3 years of experience working with health insurance systems
• At least 2 years of experience working with systems integration, data exchange, and/or data transformations
• At least 2 years of experience working on large IT projects
• Familiarity of HIPAA and/or MARS-E regulations
• Ability to effectively communicate, in both oral and written forms, with all levels of the Agency
• Medicaid IT process experience
• File transfers and Application Program Interfaces (API)
• Knowledge of SQL queries
• Knowledge of XML and JSON
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
