Under broad supervision, responsible for documenting technical and functional processes for existing web applications including interdependencies among applications including database dependencies. Responsibilities: Review current documentation in light of Business Processes, current Industry Standards and best practice Create new documentation for web applications, specifically how various applications are interrelated Create technical documentation on database level application dependencies Highlight gaps and determine next steps/timings to document all Business Processes Assist in the revision and/or creation of documentation, ensuring all Business Processes are documented in the same format/structure, presented in an easily digestible format and are readily available to all users Refactor a large repository of legacy documentation into new formats Synthesize and consolidate documentation from multiple sources, include 3rd party vendors and legacy sources Interview Subject Matter Experts to determine current and ideal process steps Assist with Business Process evaluation and design Support new process/changes with 'as is' and 'to be' documentation Curate new internal documentation repository Core Competencies: Process documentation writing and maintenance Understanding of database tables, relationships, data dictionaries, ERD Diagram, business logic Understanding of .NET architecture, use cases, application code flow Understanding of IT and process Industry Standards such as ITIL Proven experience writing technical and process documents Must be strong with process and procedures, and requirements gathering Able to write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited school Advanced level skills with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint) Must have a 3 to 5 years of experience is documentation creation and curation Required/Desired Skills Skill | Required /Desired | Amount | of Experience | Consultant Experience | Experience as a Business Process Documentation Specialist | Required | 5 | Years | | Business Process Documentation Best Practices | Required | 3 | Years | | Web Application Documentation | Required | 3 | Years | | Interviewing Subject Matter Experts to document Business Processes | Required | 5 | Years | | Recent experience with SharePoint as a document repository | Required | 3 | Years | | Expert in MS Word and Excel | Required | 3 | Years | | Visio | Required | 3 | Years | | Understanding of database tables, relationships, data dictionaries, ERD Diagram, business logic | Required | 3 | Years | | Understanding of .NET architecture, use cases, application code flow | Required | 3 | Years | | Questions No. | Question | Consultant Answer | Question1 | Absences greater than two weeks MUST be approved by CAI management in advance, and contact information must be provided to CAI so that the resource can be reached during his or her absence.
