Project Scope / Components: Software engineers in our Data and Knowledge Management team focus on building complex full stack web applications, API's and microservices that support research, clinical and business operations at Vertex. We are passionate about delivering elastic, scalable, and highly available serverless solutions utilizing the latest cloud technologies. We are responsible for maintaining and developing a robust API environment, design system and serve a leadership role in defining modern software development standards. We write our own Python, Typescript and JavaScript, maintain our CI/CD pipelines leveraging SAM, CloudFormation, Bitbucket and much more! Additionally, we work with our diverse partners in an agile environment. High-Level Individual Duties: - Design, build and maintain cloud hosted REST APIs, serverless applications and microservices. The code you write will empower scientists working on innovative treatments in genomics. You will work with your team to "fail fast" and continuously release improvements safely and efficiently.
- Engage with business leaders to develop innovative software solutions that drive research at Vertex.
- Contribute to long term strategic vision of the Software Engineering team by building modular, reusable systems.
