Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Sr Unified Communications VoIP Architect/Engineer to join our client's team. Job Summary: This position is for a Senior Unified Communications VoIP Architect/Engineer. This position will be responsible for documenting the architecture for a new Hybrid Cisco UC and Zoom Phone environments. Responsibilities include working with key engineering staff at the Network Operations Center to define, document, and guide the approach for a migration from a legacy Nortel SL100 PBX, and a on-premise Cisco VoIP environment to two new environments; a new Cisco Webex Calling Dedicated Instance and Zoom Phone Bring Your own Carrier (BYOC). Key responsibilities include documentation and support of the 4 environments during, throughout and post-migration. Architect and engineering support will be critical throughout the migration. Essential Responsibilities: 40% Architecture Validation and Documentation Working with UCD vendor partners and NOC Staff, document and validate VoIP environments. - Validate proper configuration and operation of new VoIP environments.
- For The New Cisco environment including CUCM, Unity, IM&P, Expressways (C/E), UCCX
- Validate proper configuration of call routing between:
- CUCM 11.5, UCCX 11.6 On Premise Environment
- CUCM 14, UCCX 12.5 Webex Calling Dedicated Instance Environment
- Zoom Phone Environment including Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) Session Border Controllers
- Validate proper configuration and operation of VoIP Firewalls
- Validate firewall configuration for a segmented VoIP Cisco Super Cluster in a geo- diverse configuration (3 locations NOC, and 2 Cisco Data Centers)
- Validate firewall configuration for Zoom Phone peering from Zoom SBC CUBEs
- Validate firewall configuration for network traffic between protected VoIP VRF and outside VRFs.
40% Migration Strategy Validation and Migration Engineering Support - Support processes for data extract from existing CUCM environment, and validation of migration BAT files for new target environments. Migration is from version 11.5 to 14.

- Troubleshoot technical issues providing migration support.

- Troubleshoot and support Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) for Zoom IP Phones

- Support and troubleshoot the migration of over 10,000 devices

- Support and troubleshoot the migration of UCCX and over 20 call center applications from version 11.6 to 12.5.

- Support and troubleshoot the migration of 200 call handlers and a campus wide directory IVR.

- Support and troubleshoot the migration from Cisco Jabber to Webex utilizing MRA

20% Architect and Engineering Lead - Support the NOC Voice Engineering Supervisor as a backup providing leadership for operations, architecture, and migration support.
- Provide regular briefings and cross-training on the architecture and migration strategy.
- Provide documentation and cross-training to NOC staff to support the new environments.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Extensive experience with a large Cisco Unified Communications environment, including:
- CUCM 11.5, including extensive experience with CSS, and route/translation pattern configurations.
- MRA: IM&P, and Expressway servers
- Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE)
- Cisco ISRs with PRI trunks
- Cisco Webex Calling Dedicated Instance
- Experience Configuring Zoom Phone for a mass migration including peering for Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) configurations utilizing Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) as a Session Border Controller (SBC).
- Experience working with Cisco Nexus 9K Routers, including:
- Experience with VRF configurations
- Experience troubleshooting VoIP quality issues including QoS
- Experience Troubleshooting SIP/SCCP/SRTP VoIP IP traffic and Firewalls. Experience troubleshooting VoIP utilizing Firewall monitoring.
- Experience required in developing network, rack, data center configuration, and architecture documentation to support the configuration and networking of new equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-training skills. Experience working with Cisco TAC and Zoom TAM (Support)
Preferred Qualifications - CCIE Unified Communications Certification
- Experience migrating Cisco UC environments to Zoom.
- Experience with FotiGuard firewalls and FortiAnalyzer firewall monitoring tools. Experience with larger scale 10,000+ endpoint VoIP Migrations
