What Our Client Needs

Our client is looking for a Mental Health Clinician. In this role, you will play a vital role in assessing, providing, and monitoring necessary care and support to help their clients understand, resolve, and manage mental health issues in their lives. They are seeking dedicated clinicians who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals seeking mental health services.


What You Will Do

Here are some of the responsibilities you will enjoy during your time with our client:


Clinical:

  • Diagnose and treat emotional, mental, and behavioral disorders.
  • Assess clients and provide recommendations for appropriate treatments.
  • Utilize literature, research, evidence-based practices, and professional standards of care to accurately conceptualize, create treatment plans, and provide comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain legal and ethical standards of care.
  • Conduct initial evaluations, psychotherapy, psychological assessments, testing, or other specialty therapeutic services in person or through telehealth options.
  • Ensure timely electronic medical record documentation in accordance with our clients and professional guidelines.
  • Uphold professional and HIPAA standards of confidentiality and practice.
  • Provide clients with appropriate care and referrals during times of crisis.
  • Offer referrals and coordinate additional care or services as required.
  • Provide coverage for other clinicians when they are unavailable.
  • Notify the Clinical Director of any situations that pose clinical, legal, or ethical risks to the client or the practice.
  • Establish and enforce boundaries and compliance in treatment according to the Standard Agreement with clients.
  • Terminate treatment in compliance with legal, ethical, professional, and company guidelines when clients have achieved treatment goals, are noncompliant, require transfer within the company, or upon clinician termination.
  • Work Options: Telehealth, in-person, and hybrid options are available.
  • Evening and weekend availability is required.

General:

  • Adhere to the company mission, community values, and group values.
  • Comply with all company-signed agreements.
  • Follow the companys clinical procedure manual.
  • Follow the supervisor's manual, where applicable.
  • Participate in company activities, including weekly meetings, supervision (formal or peer), all-staff meetings, social activities, and events.

Administrative:

  • Coordinate scheduling with administration and Intake staff to maintain billable hours.
  • Notify company administrators when taking leave and ensure clinical coverage.
  • Respond to medical record requests promptly.
  • Maintain audit-ready medical record documentation.
  • Respond to requests from the companys administrative staff or directors in a timely manner.



Requirements


  • Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Psychologists in the DC, MD, and VA area are preferred.
  • Experience working in a community mental health setting is advantageous.
  • Strong commitment to providing culturally competent and accessible mental health services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
