What will you be doing?
Allurion is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer CO-OP to provide support for various Manufacturing activities throughout the co-op period. Typical employment periods are 3-6 months, depending on the co-ops availability.
The Manufacturing Engineer CO-OP candidate must have proficiency in mechanical engineering and/or material science, with strong analytical skills, effective communication skills, and solid problem-solving skills. This position will take on tasks and projects assigned by the manufacturing engineering staff to advance Allurions manufacturing process and procedures as the organization readies for expansion. Guidance will be provided by an experienced manufacturing engineering team in a fast-paced, highly regulated, quality-controlled work environment. The Co-Op will be expected to utilize and develop/strengthen skills in standard test methods, data acquisition and analysis, equipment acquisition, validation and verification efforts, composition of work instruction documentation, statistics (Minitab), and development of test fixtures.
What were looking for in you:
- Mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, materials engineering, or related proficiency.
- Previous applicable internships, part-time or apprenticeship experience is required.
- Strong problem solving, technical communication, and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and have a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
- Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills preferred
- CSWA proficiency and entry level SOLIDWORKS experience preferred

There is no travel anticipated for this role.
Hours:
Hours for this role will be communicated to the selected candidate by the Hiring Manager and decided upon based on School schedule.
