Morningstar Corporation, the worlds leading supplier of solar charge controllers and inverters, is looking for a Senior Industrial Sales Account Manager(link removed) Industrial Account Managers work with customers worldwide to secure new business, provide commercial and technical information, and promote and educate customers and prospects about our power electronic products. Through daily communications, trade shows, training events, and onsite visits, we strive to provide the off-grid solar industrys best sales and technical support.


Responsibilities

  • Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities in the existing customer base, and in major, competitively-held accounts, to meet defined territory profit increase goals
  • Work closely with large, strategic current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans to maintain and grow sales within assigned territory.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives.
  • Identifying and resolving customer challenges, escalating as required.
  • Engage in problem-solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data, and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations perform optimally.
  • Actively sell and support Morningstar innovations and technology with assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships.
  • Advise business leadership on products and strategies to expand market share
  • Demonstrate the ability to stabilize jeopardy business in large, strategic accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • 7+ years of technical product sales experience, preferably in industrial electronics and control systems
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international)
  • Must either currently hold or be eligible to apply for a US Passport
  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit or growth mindset

Additional preferred skills include:

  • Experience or interest in the off-grid, solar industry
  • Ability and desire to travel internationally
  • Proficiency in a second language
