The International Marketing Manager will focus on lead generation and client development for the international experiences across Skywalker Hospitality Brands. From planning to execution, the marketing manager will conduct research, understand exclusive and evolving trends and customer preferences, create marketing strategy and budgets, oversee the creation of marketing materials and content, and perform all other relevant tasks essential for increasing the businesss sales. This person must amplify the talent to take care of leads, clients, guests and team members with discretion and poise and have the capability to share their talent and skill set with all staff to ensure consistency across all venues and hospitality programs, including the international private retreat centers and public restaurant and special events venue(s). This position requires exceptional leadership, vision and hands on delivery. Be prepared to establish and create a new hospitality experience, collaborating with all members of a small, exclusive operational team with strong personal organization, dedication to training and development, genuine hospitality, and care for a unique team/staff. Their leadership and expertise will be instrumental in helping develop and fulfill the short term as well as long range goals for the International Skywalker experience and beyond. This position is fulltime, exempt, based in San Francisco, CA with the ability to travel internationally. Bi-lingual, or proficient in multiple languages preferred. Strategy development and planning of campaigns that can promote the Skywalker brands and generate genuine traffic (both offline and online) Implementation of the marketing campaigns right from ideation to final analysis and refinement. Develop, initiate, and manage strategic direction of hospitality marketing, advertising, sales plans, customer events and programs within approved plans and budgets to maximize revenue. Responsible for forming and maintaining relationships and connections with business clients to drive sales. Proficient in maximizing all sales lead sources, sales automation technology, and sales industry tools. Share in the culture of Skywalker Retreats and emulate this to clients & vendors. Creating engaging and informative content for all content marketing channels Building sustainable relationships and partnerships with other key players such as vendors, advertising agencies, and creative artists as per the need Develop rates, group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management. Uphold the Companys core values and provide exceptional guest service at all times. Maintain strong client relations and ensure that event specifications are created, communicated and executed to result in a successful event. Plan, coordinate, and ensure proper execution of all tours for prospective clients Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while maintaining continuous client contact. This role requires a strong sense of loyalty, urgency, reliability, commitment and the ability to manage highly-sensitive/confidential information. Experience working with individuals at all levels and working knowledge of C-Level names and HNW individuals. Find solutions to the inevitable challenges and glitches that arise while groups are on property and keep operational team promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate. Act as the liaison for all parties involved in the initial booking Communicate and collaborate with other team members to act as one, to ensure seamless guest service and creative solutions in a private, confidential setting. Communicate with full operational leadership daily, informal or formal Work cross-functionally for recruitment & training Work with Chef&B & Food & Beverage Manager on sales options Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with guests and colleague. Post event, evaluate trends, missed opportunities, new concepts to develop offering with Sales, Rooms & experience. Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or passion Can discreetly read/understand internal and external guests needs and react Collaborate with program and experience team, pre guest arrival for enhanced team and guest experiences, concepts and execution RequirementsEducation / Experience: Bachelors Degree preferred; however, any combination of education and training within luxury hotel Catering, Sales and Convention Services commensurate with this position description will also be considered. International experience preferred Ten years combined prior Marketing, Sales and/or Director of Convention Services or Director of Sales & Marketing experience in a luxury or lifestyle market. MPI certification preferred. Excellent guest service to treat guests like family. Strong communication skills to train and motivate staff. Strong time management skills and accuracy to deal with a variety of duties and prepare reports according to schedule. Required Skills / Competencies: Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshot when needed Thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, proper preparation and presentation of foods and beverage items. Wine Education and training required Must have proven selling, negotiating, prospecting and presentation skills. Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail. Highly creative and ability to imagine and create Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. The ability to delegate, effectively train and coach, effective time management Use mathematical skill to interpret financial information, prepare forecasts and compute costs for customers and hotel. Maintain enthusiasm and interest throughout all conferences with customers. Change activities frequently and cope with interruptions. Requires coordinating skills to the extent of determining time, place, and sequence of operations to take place Demonstrated positive, strong customer service interest, skills and experience. Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. Demonstrated experience leading a team High level of flexibility, ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work overtime, later shifts, and weekends. This level of position requires professional tone, attitude and the utmost level of confidentiality. Preferred Skills / Competencies: Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Yardi Financial Applications experience desirable. Resort Suites, a plus WineDirect Bi-lingual, or proficient in multiple languages preferred.
