URGENTLY seeking an IT Application Support who will be responsible for application support, facilitating service requests and providing operational support across key financial systems. This position is a long term contract (great possibility to convert) and hybrid! Client DetailsLeading financial institution seeking an IT Application Support. Description Provide application support, including troubleshooting system failures and discrepancies, pre-emptive identification and resolution of issues and user training- Perform system administration tasks to enable business groups within to carry out their day to day activities- Manage data fixes and produce ad hoc data extracts/reports as required by usersStakeholder Management- Effectively deals with users to understand issues reported/requests received and deliver the appropriate solution/service- Liaises with IT Managers, Team Leaders and colleagues regarding potential problems- Liaises with external software vendors and service providers to resolve issues as appropriateFunctional Analysis- Manage applications are available to support critical business operations- Provide users with functional application support throughout the business day- Assist with testing of defect fixes and configuration changes, including the development of test plans, test cases and test logs- Perform trend analysis on operational incidents and raise problem tickets to drive action to resolve the underlying cause- Proactively identifies areas of risk, investigates root cause and proposes strategies to mitigate risksProfileMin 5 years of experience in Production Support, supporting font office and back office applicationsUnderstanding of the following applications: Bloomberg, Alladdin, Salesforce, or similar applications in which knowledge can be transferredUnderstanding of financial business operations including decision support, trading, settlement, accounting and performance/reportingAbility to write SQL queriesJob OfferRemote flexibility, long term contract, great possibility to convert FT and can interview as soon as today!
