Thomas Creek Woodworks is a leading manufacturing plant specializing in wood cabinet components for cabinetmakers across the United States. We seek a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager to join our team. As the Plant Manager, you will lead and grow our production teams. You will build a culture of continuous improvement and lean thinking. Responsibilities - Lead all aspects of plant operations, including production planning, inventory management, quality control, and cost optimization.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance through the application of lean manufacturing principles.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging employees to identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational processes.
- Manage and optimize production schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to customers.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Build and develop a high-performing team by providing coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance individual and collective skills.
- Set performance goals, evaluate employee performance, and provide regular feedback to drive employee engagement and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and finance, to align operational strategies with organizational objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve operational targets and objectives.
- Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs and expenses to maximize profitability.
Requirements - Must value and demonstrate honesty, integrity, and respect for others.
- Must be fanatical about continuous improvement and lean thinking. Must be self disciplined and lead by example.
- Training and experience in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment. Wood manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and developing individual employees.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication with team members, owners, vendors, and customers.
Benefits - Salary with incentives based on experience starts at $150,000 /yr.
