Job Description:

Job Summary:

On-time collection of cash and cash application and the proper record and invoices as to account, amount, and period.

Duties:

Interact with customers and upper management to resolve collection and/or invoice issues.
Reconcile and post cash receipts.
Perform the end of the month Accounts receivable closing procedures, including journal entries and roll forward.
Analyse customer accounts for errors and make necessary corrections.
Maintain the customer master file.
Review monthly invoicing for proper account, amount, and period.
Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
Performs under only general supervision work along specialized or technical lines requiring special knowledge.

Experience:

6+ years of experience in cash receipts applications and accounts receivable collections.

Has developed specialized skills or is multi-skilled through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience

Completes work with a limited degree of supervision

Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data

Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less
