The Gymnasium Supervisor monitors all member and guest activity in the Gymnasium. Activities in the Gymnasium consist of but are not limited to: Basketball, Volleyball, Floor Hockey, Soccer, Pickleball and Dodgeball. The Gymnasium Supervisor has knowledge of all programing scheduled in the Gymnasium and acts as the monitor for open play basketball, soccer, volleyball and other games as scheduled. The Gymnasium Supervisor must have thorough knowledge of the Club Gymnasium rules and requirements and be knowledgeable on basketball rules and regulations.

Pay Rate: $17/hour

Essential Functions

• Perform full Gymnasium walk through upon start and end of shift.
  • Walk throughs should have attention to detail with:
    • Cleanliness of gymnasium and off ices
    • Functionality of equipment including rims, backboards, nets, shot clocks, and balls in rotation
• Monitor and assist with coordinating open play pick-up games.
• Set up and break down other sports equipment as scheduled (i.e. volleyball).
• Have thorough knowledge of basketball play and rules, and be knowledgeable of Club and Gymnasium Guidelines.
• Report member issues, incidents and accidents timely and with accuracy to Club Management office, with autonomy to remove people from the Gymnasium/Club based on level of incident.
• Strong conflict resolution skills on the court during play.
• Assist as needed in our seasonal basketball leagues.
• Stock first aid supplies.

• Other tasks as assigned by the Club Management.

Requirements

Qualifications & Standards

• Operating knowledge and understanding of the basketball games, rules and requirements.
• Friendly, outgoing and professional.
• Must be able to take charge of a competitive play environment.
• Must 18yrs of age or older

Preferred/Plus:

• Former High School or College Basketball playing or coaching experience.
• CPR/AED certified

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.
• Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Frequent ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Occasional need to use a ladder for stock/inventory needs.
