Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Estimator/Journeyman to join our team. The Senior HVAC Estimator/Journeyman will be responsible for evaluating project requirements and preparing accurate estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of HVAC systems, excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate project requirements including drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and identify project requirements
Determine the scope of work and estimate costs for HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repairs
Identify potential risks and opportunities to reduce project costs
Prepare detailed estimates, including labor and material costs, and ensure the accuracy of cost estimates
Develop project timelines and schedules
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
Communicate project progress to internal and external stakeholders
Participate in pre-bid meetings and presentations
Supervise and mentor junior estimators and apprentices
Maintain knowledge of industry standards, trends, and best practices
Requirements
Journeyman certification in HVAC or related field and at least five years of experience in HVAC estimation or related field.
