POSITION SUMMARY

Santa Ana Bio (SAB) is a precision Immunology bio-therapeutics company focused on the development of disruptive therapies for the treatment of autoimmune, allergic, and inflammatory disorders. SAB is seeking an experienced, creative, and motivated Senior Scientist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will build and lead our ADC program. As an ADC Senior Scientist, you will help drive various programs across several indications. You will be highly organized, efficient, and careful in your approach to science with excellent interpersonal skills and should enjoy working and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, exciting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, execute and analyze pre-clinical studies to evaluate the mechanism of action of biologics to a given specific target in an ADC format.
• Lead the development of new ADC programs by providing strategic, scientific and technical inputs.
• Working in the laboratory and perform cellular and molecular assays.
• Motivated to learn and implement new assays and protocols for a variety of in-vitro experiments.
• Analyze data and present work regularly to direct manager and the scientific team.
• Maintain detailed e-lab notebooks, write SOPs and careful record of data.
• Proactively share skills, knowledge and train others on techniques and protocols.
• Other duties as periodically assigned.

Requirements

• Senior Scientist: PhD in Immunology or a related field with at least 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience, including academic or industrial experience. Prior industry/biotech experience a plus.
• Previous experience with antibody-drug conjugates is highly recommended, especially with recent developments and advances in the field (target/antibody/linker/payloads). Up to date on recent ADC literature and conference presentations
• Skilled with FACS binding, cell viability, and antibody effector function assays; and molecular techniques including plate-based assays such as ELISA, MSD, and RT-qPCR. Expertise with multi-parameter flow cytometry, cell sorting and CRISPR is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of immune cell functional assays and/or immunophenotyping is a plus.
• Efficient execution of highly robust, reproducible, well-documented laboratory experiments and results reporting; skill to establish and troubleshoot experiments.
• Strong presentation and scientific communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, team-oriented environment with colleagues from diverse disciplines.

Santa Ana Bio offers a competitive compensation package, which includes a 401k, healthcare coverage, stock options and the opportunity to be a part of ground-breaking research. Base salary range for the SF Bay Area: $145,000.00 to $200,000.00. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, job-related skills and competencies, experience, and relevant education and training.
