Baranko Brothers Inc., an earthwork contractor based out of Dickinson, ND, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager Intern to join their team in the construction industry. The company has been in operation since 1967 and has expanded their work to include a variety of earthwork, trucking, oilfield, power plant, and heavy highway services. Baranko has gained the trust of private entities as well as local and state governments in the Midwest through their wide knowledge in these fields. As a member of the Associated General Contractors and Lignite Energy Council, Baranko Brothers is committed to providing quality service to their clients.

The Assistant Project Manager Intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in environmental services, construction, and project management. They will work alongside experienced professionals in the industry and will have a chance to contribute to projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the bidding, planning, scheduling and coordination of projects from conception to completion
  • Assist with maintaining project files and documentation
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status
  • Assist in the preparation of project pay estimates, job costing, and financial reports
  • Review project designs and specifications to identify potential issues
  • Assist with scheduling and reviewing time cards of employees
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Assist with the management of subcontractors and vendors involved in projects

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or recent graduate in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, finance, business, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines
  • Willing to work in an office setting with weekly visits to job sites

Benefits

Pay is $30-35/hour
