Quality Specialist

Who we need:

The Quality Specialist maintains current information on clinical practice guidelines, assessments, policies and procedures. This position will assist client/customer with issues relating to policy implementation, processes, and quality improvement.

What youll do:

  • Maintains current information on clinical practice guidelines, assessments, policies and procedures
  • Maintains a policy library.
  • Assists client/customer with issues relating to policy implementation, processes, and quality improvement
  • Ongoing planning, development, and maintenance of internal monitoring program for activities performed by clinical and customer support team.
  • Conducts time studies for staffing recommendations.
  • Participates with Quality Manager in developing and monitoring testing and quality assurance policies and plans.
  • Assesses potential problems and recommends corrective actions to resolve or mitigate associated risks.
  • Prepares and submits reports and/or deliverables timely as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What youll need:

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree in human service field preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of current principles and practices required to implement quality assurance measures.
  • Knowledge of current quality assurance methodologies, equipment, and software.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of project management required for quality assurance and risk analysis assessments.
  • Ability to organize and evaluate testing and quality assurance activities to coordinate operational and monitoring procedures for improved service delivery or problem resolution.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance to staff on quality assurance and risk analysis measures and standards.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customer, vendors, clinical staff, and others.
  • Ability to prepare and present findings and to provide support and guidance concerning quality of program operations.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written).
  • Experience identifying organizational needs and recommending the appropriate improvements to increase organizational effectiveness.

Experience

  • Previous experience with monitoring the quality of customer support, assessments and/or in a healthcare industry strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of continuous quality improvement experience
