SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, light fabrication and testing of fluid power systems (hydraulic and pneumatic), manifold assemblies and mechanical assemblies as needed. The Assembly Technician must operate in a flexible, proto-type environment.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in the assembly of units
  • Assemble components of a hydraulic power unit (pump/motor group, valve assemblies, reservoir accessories etc.)
  • Assemble components of a pneumatic system
  • Test all equipment as required and fill out test reports and ensure proper test and inspection of our product to meet the high quality standards of our customers
  • Provide input for continuous improvement within the manufacturing area (safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, training, and job satisfaction)
  • May train other workers in assembly operations
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as required
  • Adheres to company guidelines and policies

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Education equivalent to High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Desired: Associates Degree, two year training program or combined equivalent education in a Technical Field or Industrial Training Program

Experience

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in the production of Hydraulic/Pneumatic Components and/or Applications
  • General Welding experience

Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in an ISO9001:2008 environment preferred
  • Experience and/or exposure to industrial/manufacturing engineering principles and methods preferred
  • Experience in cell manufacturing in a just-in-time environment preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, know how to use hand tools and be familiar with hardware
  • High level of commitment towards customer satisfaction
