Requirements

Our Forklift Operators get rewarded for their work!

  • You work individually in a competitive environment.
  • Your job is to timely and accurately select, load, & unload orders using a Raymond standing forklift.
  • Once your order is done, you take it to the designated loading door where your teammate takes over.
  • You are constantly moving and lifting so you're getting paid to work out!

Pay

  • Training is Hourly - Transition to Incentive Pay Only

Duties & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

Team Member who reinforces Jakes mission, vision and core values at all times while ensuring that the companys loading activities run safely, efficiently and profitably.


  • Requires routine lifting/moving of up to 65 pounds, requires occasional lifting of heavier amounts.
  • Complete all assigned putaways both physically and systematically in a timely fashion and placing it in the correct location.
  • Rotation of second level pick locations is expected, when the inventory becomes difficult to reach from the front of the pallet.
  • Pallets directed to pick slots should be stripped of shrink wrap and readied for the selection process.
  • Exceptions will be authorized by Warehouse Management.
  • Dispose of all trash, pallet boards and debris should be cleared as you work.
  • Fix any product and/or pallets improperly placed or damaged in reserve slots.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of assigned aisles; pick slots and the adjoining dock to those aisles.
  • Stack all empty pallets neatly on the dock of the assigned aisles.
  • Complete Equipment Safety Checklist before starting job duties.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Comply with all Safety policies and procedures.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by management.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Job Attributes

  • Entry level, preferably 1 year of experience.
  • Ability to operate a fork lift a plus.
  • Attention to accuracy, detail, and organizational skills.
  • Adaptable to a changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, detailed and deadline oriented environment.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Must pass all pre-employment screens.


Physical Requirements (including, but not limited to)

Representative of the requirements to perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made per ADA regulations.

  • Ability to routinely lift/move up to 65 pounds, occasionally lifting heavier amounts.
  • Ability to work in cooler temperature zones as low as -20 degrees.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time as required.
