The Health & Wellness Center Coordinator will provide vision and leadership to a cluster of Community Schools and Wellness Centers to ensure effective implementation of these efforts. Through overall programmatic leadership, guidance and support to the team of site-based Coordinators, the Coordinator will nurture high-quality community schools and wellness centers that enhance the ability of young people and families to thrive, promote racial and social justice, and elevate youth and family voice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree in social work, education, or related field, and three years of experience preferred. Experience may substitute.
  • Knowledge of best or promising practices in the fields of community schools, youth development, leadership, and family engagement
  • Proven experience working with public school systems, including the development of community schools and the creation and facilitation of community partnerships
  • Experience with program planning and implementation
  • Demonstrated integration of an equity and anti-racism lens in your work
  • Proven experience fostering school change and school-based partnerships
  • Demonstrated success in program planning/management activities furthering school success, student achievement, and positive child, youth, and family development
  • Previous experience with grant compliance and fiscal oversight/budgeting

Responsibilities

  • Nurture the development, implementation and evaluation of site-level community schools and wellness centers, ensuring effective achievement of program goals and activities that respond to youth, family and school needs and opportunities.
  • Work closely with district, city and other partners to support the design and implementation of community school initiative goals, directions, and deliverables.
  • Hire and provide ongoing coaching, training and mentoring of program coordinators to ensure effective implementation of Community School/Wellness Center goals and activities (e.g. Needs/Asset Assessments, data collection and analysis, program planning, strategies for meaningful caregiver engagement, youth leadership, and effective transitions).
  • Create and facilitate a warm-hearted, productive, and enriching team of program coordinators, including team building and support, creation of vision and purpose, and sharing of experiences for program learning and success.
  • Create processes and systems to enhance effectiveness across sites, such as referral tracking, community partner outreach and contracting, etc.
  • Provide leadership to staff in creating and implementing meaningful program evaluations and support utilizing their outcomes in program and service planning.
  • Provide leadership in identifying resource needs and engage in resource development, including community in-kind services and funding opportunities to meet the needs of youth and families.
  • Maintain fiscal oversight of programs, budget, human resource management and grant compliance and deliverables.
  • Responsible for the necessary administrative tasks, such as development of MOUs, facilitation of regular meetings, planning sessions and work plan creation.

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
