Eminence Home Care is looking for motivated and caring individuals who would like to pursue a career in healthcare.
*We are looking to sponsor a select number of applicants to obtain their Nursing Assistant License through LNA Health Careers with a contract of employment of at least 1 year with our company at full-time(link removed) Termination of employment or unable to stay in good standing as employee within the 1-year period will require employee to reimburse Eminence Home Care the cost of tuition and any other incurred fees associated with obtaining licensure. A 60-day period of employment prior to scholarship grant to evaluate performance is required. Full-Time employment required. Candidates must be 18 years or older*

What does a Personal Care Assistant do?
A Personal Care Assistant offers personal care services that are part of a clients established plans for himself or herself. For example, they assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and transferring from the bed into chairs. As well as personal care, PCA's also assist with homemaking services like housekeeping, making and serving meals, and running errands. Companionship and safety supervision are also services we provide- keeping our clients engaged, building a trusting rapport, and most importantly keeping them safe.
What makes a good Personal Care Assistant?
A good Personal Care Assistant is a compassionate, supportive and well-rounded individual. Maintaining reliability and accountability is vital. As a home care worker, there is a great deal of independence in your day-to-day operations and this comes with the responsibility to promptly report any changes in status of your clients, to always arrive on time, and to communicate any anticipated changes in your schedule. These traits are imperative to provide the necessary support and comfort to recovering, disabled or frail clients. Being dependable and having a strong work ethic is necessary to be successful in this position. *Your performance will determine if your scholarship will be granted or not. *
Requirements
- Ability to pass a BEAS and Criminal Background Check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
- Must be 18 years or older
- Negative TB test
- Reliable transportation
LNA Health Careers Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Submit documentation of a 2-step TB test (what is a 2-step TB test?)
- Submit copy of COVID vaccination card (call the Admissions Office to see what exemption options are available, (603) 647-2174)
If taking a Blended or LNA Theory Online course, you will also need:
- Computer, laptop, smartphone, or tablet in order to access your course
- Strong internet connection so you can stream recorded lectures and skills videos
