International Business Development Representative

About The AGL Group

The AGL Group is the 2nd largest lumber freight forwarder in the United States, exporting roughly 30,000 containers a year. We have offices in 2 countries with the majority of our United States team split between Jacksonville, FL and Weymouth, MA. AGL is a customer centric organization that is on a mission to become the largest forest products exporter in the United States. About the role:

AGL is looking for someone who is ready to be in a hardcore sales role, with the mental framework that they are instrumental in growing AGLs international business and getting us to the next level. We envision the individual having a hyper competitive winning mentality with a desire to blow goals out of the water (and be compensated for doing just that!). This is the first touch point in the sales cycle, and as such the individual will be representing the AGL brand in the marketplace.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Aggressively sell AGL international services into new markets through a solid understanding of AGLs services
  • Identify target markets with management, and create a strategy to sell into those markets
  • Identify new accounts to target within specific markets
  • Sell into new markets through daily cold calls, cold emails, warm introductions, trade shows, quotes, etc.
  • Build relationships with potential and converted clients
  • Develop relationships internally with the Director of Sales, International Account Managers, Export Documentation Reps and AGLs Finance team
  • Help to solve problems through unique solutions
  • Actively engage in conversations around future business, market trends and current forecasted business
  • Travel as needed for client meetings and tradeshows
  • Providing reports to management as needed

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of Business Development and/or Sales experience.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of M.S. Office Suite, ZoomInfo, Salesforce
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, act independently and make competent decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel for business meetings and trade shows
  • Comfortable talking to senior level decision makers
  • Self-motivated with a positive growth mindset
  • Enthusiasm to pursue career in sales

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000 per year plus commission

Commission: 10-15% of all business brought in based on ramping GP (Gross Profit) thresholds per month.
