Program Manager

Who we need:

The Program Manager will oversee program responsibilities, quality assurance, and training for qualified intellectual disability professionals (QIDPs), qualified mental health professionals, and nurses. Provide training on the utilization of assessment tools to program staff and stakeholders. Maintain program adherence to policies and procedures and provide ongoing monitoring and analysis to ensure consistency with assessments and determinations.

What youll do:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of documented policies and procedures for program activities that align with our contract, TN State Rule, and federal requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and submit program reports to include all required data elements for assessment activities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the state.
  • Participate in face-to-face meetings with state clients as requested and review performance, discuss trends, and conduct planning.
  • Implement program changes as directed and agreed upon by our state client.
  • Ensure assessments are conducted by appropriately credentialed, highly skilled, and well-trained registered nurses.
  • Ensure assessments include accurate determinations with appropriate service level recommendations.
  • Maintain quality oversight for determinations to ensure appropriate and least-restrictive level of care and service needs are provided and prevent inappropriate placement of vulnerable and protected populations.
  • Collaborate with program leaders, including medical director, management teams, and corporate support teams to improve processes and determine training needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide training, technical assistance, and clinical support to staff, providers, and customers.
  • Understand and keep up with current literature, regulations, and research related to long term care and services and supports.
  • Rigorous monitoring of clinical metrics and team responsibilities accompanied with providing proactive direction and instruction for quality control adherence.

What youll need:

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse with active unrestricted licensure in Tennessee.
  • Graduation from an accredited College with relevant Degree Program, masters degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of Federal Regulation 42 CFR, Chapter 483. 89, applicable statutes and rules of the State of TN, including TennCare Rules at 1200-13-01-.10.
  • Knowledge of the organization of medical records, medical terminology, and disease process required.
  • Ability to determine a clinical diagnosis accounting for psychological and behavioral issues.
  • Ability to utilize computer equipment and web-based software to conduct work.
  • Ability to train and interact with various office staff as needed to support necessary workflows.
  • Ability to train and interact with healthcare professionals, patients, their families, and other supports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to individuals and groups through spoken, written, and electronic media and to help others to do the same.
  • Ability to attend to detail, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner and to help others to do the same.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in providing clinical and/or program oversight to medical teams/registered nurses.
  • 3+ years of experience in working directly with individuals with intellectual disability, developmental disabilities, or related conditions.
  • Experience in determining eligibility for long term services and supports provided by home and community based services waivers.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with public mental health and medical programs.
