The Project Manager will be responsible for managing cross-collaborative processes, ensuring effective coordination, task assignment, and follow-through on Commerce department deliverables. This role will oversee various projects, including new product launches, review/reorder processes, merchandise, and apparel photo shoots, as well as provide operational and administrative support to the department. The Commerce Project Manager will also assist in meeting coordination and agenda preparation for cross-collaborative meetings across all departments. Project Manager reports to the Commerce Director.

Salary Range : $37,440.00 - $49,920.00/yr

Requirements

  • Manage all cross-collaborative processes through team meetings, task assignment using (link removed), and ensuring timely follow-through on department deliverables.
  • Oversee the new product process, including coordinating with relevant stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring smooth execution from ideation to launch.
  • Assist with identifying new products and vendors for Shop.Bethel and the Bethel Bookstore as needed.
  • Facilitate the review/reorder process, collaborating with different departments to assess inventory needs, track product performance, and make informed decisions for reordering.
  • Coordinate merchandise and apparel photo shoot process, including scheduling, logistics, and working with photographers, models, and stylists to capture high-quality visuals for marketing materials.
  • Handle HR and administrative functions for the department, such as assisting with employee onboarding and off boarding, managing documentation, and supporting personnel-related tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate meetings and prepare agendas for cross-collaborative meetings across all departments, including new product, reorder product, warehouse/bookstore operations, and special event projects.
  • Provide execution support for special event projects as they arise, including events/conferences, product development initiatives, new software implementation, Shop.Bethel and website clean-up initiatives, holiday campaigns, book signings, and semi/annual sales.
  • Ensure effective use of (link removed) for task assignment, tracking progress, and maintaining clear communication within the team and across departments.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse, Bookstore, Shop.bethel, and Hebrews teams to ensure seamless cross-departmental coordination and alignment.
  • Assist in the execution of events and conferences, managing logistics, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring smooth operations during the designated periods.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and workflows, implementing best practices and driving operational efficiency within the commerce department.
  • Oversee and coordinate a team of volunteers, arranging their monthly projects, checking in on them, and ensuring a positive volunteer experience.
  • Act as liaison to Developers, assisting with management of their work.
  • Work with the Creative Team to ensure all Commerce-related marketing requests are submitted and we are on track with project timelines.
  • Office management (inventory/asset management, Nexonia receipt management, bulletin board updates, team celebratory efforts, sorting mail, facilities requests).
  • Stay informed on (link removed)s newest updates. Assists the Director with building new workflows and finding ways to optimize workflows and processes.
  • Oversees all new vendor requests and upkeeps our list of recurring vendors.
  • Other tasks/projects assigned by the Commerce Director

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management or coordination, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools such as (link removed) or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with operational and administrative functions within a department.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively as well as with a team in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and merchandising processes is desirable.
  • Experience leading teams toward a common goal

  • Mobility to move around the office or project sites to interact with team members or stakeholders.
  • Visual acuity to review project documentation, read reports, and analyze project data.
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer keyboards and other office equipment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle occasional stress and work under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and requirements.
