Overview:

The VP of People Operations is a member of the Sr. Management Leadership team, reporting to the COO, and provides leadership and management to the People Operations department. This role will lead People Strategy and Operations, Talent Acquisition Management, Talent Engagement & Recognition, DEIB Initiatives, Total Rewards Management, Human Capital Management, National and International HR compliance, and Oversee Business Administration Functions. We are seeking a proven business partner with experience leading people functions through late-stage growth to IPO readiness.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

This position's essential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following sections. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

People Operations Strategy

  • Set the strategy and continue to build the team to execute on people operations
  • Continually evaluate people programs for effectiveness and scalability
  • Recommend HR programs developments/changes
  • Create program enhancements or redevelop programs to meet growth needs
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to understand organizational and departmental goals to ensure company people strategy is appropriately aligned
  • Provide support and guidance to department heads in the areas of organization design, individual goal setting, career path, direction, succession planning, coaching and development, and outsourcing strategies
  • Maintain and build upon current company policies, procedures, internal systems, partners, and make recommendations accordingly

Talent Management & Engagement

  • Manage and develop culture and engagement programs
  • Build a best-in-class organization by instituting an innovative company culture that is focused on attracting, retaining, and engaging top-performing talent
  • Oversee talent management programs, provide coaching and mentoring to HR team members and to other leaders throughout the organization
  • Oversee talent acquisition programs and provide coaching and best practices regarding recruitment strategies
  • Oversee employment-related DEI programs and drive corporate adoption and program developments

Total Rewards Program Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage corporate compensation programs (US & Global)
  • Oversee international and US benefit and LOA programs with the support of international PEO vendors as needed
  • Oversee learning and development programs and identify new opportunities to aid in staff development

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Oversee international, federal, state, and local regulatory compliance
  • Oversee and support HR team members in managing employee relations issues as needed
  • Oversee employment policy development and execution to reduce company risk

People Leadership

  • Drive engagement and performance through hands-on leadership, 1:1s, department meetings, performance management programs, engagement programs, or other programs as needed
  • Ensure effective communication throughout department to ensure team members are aware of their responsibilities and alignment with company goals
  • Maintain a team culture that is focused on continuous improvement, learning and development to ensure we are best positioned to deliver a world-class product to our customers
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to department leaders and team members to drive cultural initiatives forward and encourage behaviors and programs in line with MSR values.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other managers to ensure leadership standards are shared throughout the organization
  • Drive MSRs commitment to ensuring a diverse workforce through all stages of people management and development
  • Build multi-year plan for aiding with growth trajectory of people resources across all departments from 100-500 persons
  • Participate in the development of the organization's strategic direction
  • Build, develop, and lead people strategies with a collaborative approach with executive and leadership teams
  • Assist in evaluation and execution of Acquisitions and Mergers

Business Administration

  • Oversee the Business Operations Team that supports the administrative operations of the business including workplace management, procurement, event planning and administration support.

Education & Experience:

We have identified the following programs, experience, and knowledge that have helped others find success in this role at Measurabl. We understand though that knowledge comes from many forms of learning and experiences. Above all, we consider a persons potential impact in the role and value their unique path to this point in their career.

  • 15+ years experience in Human Resources
  • 7+ years experience in the later stage (Series D+) to IPO readiness at a SaaS-based company
  • Ideally located in San Diego, CA and/or can be in San Diego at least monthly.
  • Demonstrate ability to be a business leader supporting rapid growth and cultural transformation
  • Ability to successfully integrate new people from an acquired company
  • Ability to grow and scale a Human Resources department
  • Ability to manage and provide coaching to all levels of an organization
  • Proven track record of building consensus across diverse groups
  • Ability to thrive while work remotely with an asynchronous and global working environment
  • Ability to travel on occasion (less than 10%) to company offices/events globally (San Diego, NYC, London, Amsterdam)
  • A combination of professional or educational experience (whether formal or informal) that affords you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities above

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role manages the People Operations team. The size of this team may vary based on the needs of the organization.

Compensation Range:

  • $221,398 to $270,598+DOE
