We have a very exciting opportunity for a Business Development Coordinator to join our rapidly growing start-up in Vero Beach, Florida. The Business Development Manager will play a critical role as we transition from building the business fundamentals and supporting processes to quickly scaling revenue generation and customer/partner relationships. This role will be responsible for performing detailed analytics and possess wide responsibilities to assist with the overall growth and management of demand generation and the commercial business.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data and insights to support customer and partner acquisition, development, and long-term relationships.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitor research, and customer needs assessment to identify growth new opportunities for the Business Development Team to pursue.
  • Support our distributors and manage ongoing needs via an effective process, leveraging strong communication and data sharing.
  • Facilitate productivity of trade shows through effective targeting of attendees and exhibitors pre-show, and reconciliation and dissemination of converted leads post-show.
  • Manage Salesforce process and system; attain Admin Certification if not already achieved.
  • Facilitate Samples management (per established process)
  • Support Forecasting and Demand Planning process.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop relevant co-marketing campaigns within the B2C channel.
  • Deliver ad hoc reports and dashboard analytics as requested.
  • Manage Business Development related customer service calls/emails.
  • Maintain effective Process Workstreams and drive updates when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelors Degree and 5 years of experience in the food ingredients, flavor or nutrition industry(link removed)>
  • SalesForce: Must have extensive system experience and possess an administrators certificate or have the desire to obtain one.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): A deep understanding with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite).
  • Analytical and logical thinker with an ability to assimilate information quickly in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Creative and nimble problem solver.
  • Possess an understanding of business principles, market dynamics, and customer behavior.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, both internally, and externally with customers and partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication capabilities.
  • Ability to identify gaps in own knowledge or skills and a willingness to self-educate or outsource what is required for success in a resource constrained environment.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word with skills sufficient for success in key areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to balance and manage multiple on-going projects and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Team player with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and operate effectively in a small company environment, working cross-functionally in a non-matrixed organization.
  • Travel as required to attend industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
