Currently, we operate three brands that are serving households in the US, the European Union, and Australia: Marley Spoon, Martha & Marley Spoon, and Dinnerly.

Who are we looking for:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Regional Supply Manager at our Fulfillment Center in Newark, NJ. The Regional Procurement Manager will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and timely supply chain operations, managing relationships with suppliers, and addressing any issues related to delivery schedules, quality, and service. This role is based on-site and reports directly to the Site Lead. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

What you will be doing:

• Monitor and identify quality, service, and schedule issues that require attention from the planner and sourcing vendors.
• Pre-check inbound loads at our vendors
• Oversee the management of all rejections and work closely with suppliers to rectify quality or quantity issues, and improve overall product quality.
• Take ownership of all recovery purchase orders (POs), Food and Non-Food, and ensure their timely resolution.
• Collaborate with suppliers to address issues related to damaged or defective goods, delays, or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including inventory, production, quality, and culinary teams, to communicate potential substitutions and finalize production.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on waste analysis to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and represent the facility's needs during supplier reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance supplier performance.
• Invite suppliers to visit the fulfillment center to gain an understanding of our operations.
• Visit suppliers to gain insights into their operations and provide valuable feedback to the planner and sourcing team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse operations, or procurement in the food industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and address operational inefficiencies in the receiving processes, delivery schedules, and checks executed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
• Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
• Willingness to travel to supplier locations as needed. Marley Spoon provides a company-refrigerated van for traveling to suppliers/product pick-ups.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control procedures is a plus.
