We are seeking an experienced SRE / Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Terraform to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the development and implementation of a platform aimed at empowering internal engineering teams to effortlessly migrate existing applications to GCP and build new applications on the platform. This fully remote position allows you to work with modern technologies, drive technical solutions, and make a significant impact in a large enterprise environment.

Essential Qualifications - Must live in the continental U.S. and be available to work EST/EDT business hours

Responsibilities - Utilize your extensive GCP expertise to build self-service tools to empower internal engineering teams, streamlining the migration and application development processes on GCP.
- Leverage your deep knowledge and experience with Terraform to automate the generation of repositories, build out clusters, and create test environments.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the IAM infrastructure (Identity and Access Management system) within GCP, ensuring proper user access controls and permissions management for the platform.
- Design and implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices, utilizing Terraform and version control systems to ensure consistent, scalable, and reproducible infrastructure deployments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and workflows, integrating with GCP services and leveraging tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar, to enable efficient and automated application deployment and release processes.
- Apply your expertise in GCP and Terraform to optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency within the platform, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in GCP, Terraform, and related technologies, sharing knowledge and insights with the team to promote continuous learning and growth.
Requirements - MUST HAVE 3+ years of hands-on professional Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience, including but not limited to Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub and IAM.
- MUST HAVE 3+ years of hands-on experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management within the GCP ecosystem, with expertise in automating infrastructure tasks including repository generation, cluster build-outs, and test environment creation. Strong coding skills are essential.
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions within a large enterprise environment.
- Solid experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and workflows, integrating with GCP services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with Principal Engineers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to finding innovative solutions.
- A self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as in a team-oriented setting.
Nice-to-Have - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect).
- Familiarity with Ansible for automated software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment is considered a plus.
Estimated annual salary: $90,000 - $120,000 Benefits - Comprehensive medical / dental / vision insurance options (50% employer-paid premiums)
