Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, policies, and procedures within the organization.

2. Risk Assessment: Identify potential safety hazards, assess risks, and implement effective risk mitigation measures.

3. Training and Education: Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote awareness and compliance.

4. Incident Reporting: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and promptly report findings. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.

5. Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring employees are trained and prepared for emergencies.

6. Safety Inspections: Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify and rectify safety deficiencies.

7. Safety Equipment: Manage the maintenance and availability of safety equipment, including personal protective gear, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.

8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, inspections, and safety equipment maintenance.

9. Safety Culture: Promote a strong safety culture by organizing safety awareness campaigns and initiatives.

10. Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with relevant safety laws and regulations and ensure the organization's compliance.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

2. Certifications: Possession of relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001) is advantageous.

3. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

4. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk assessment.

5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively train and communicate safety protocols.

6. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address safety issues and recommend corrective actions.

7. Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure a safe working environment.

8. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail for hazard identification and safety improvement opportunities.

9. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills to lead safety initiatives and foster a safety-centric culture.

10. Computer Proficiency: Competency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office applications.
