This includes tasks related to general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and other accounting functions. The Junior Staff Accountant will work closely with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. Key Responsibilities: - General Ledger Maintenance:
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions and ensuring proper documentation.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable:
- Review and process vendor invoices for payment.
- Verify expenses, prepare checks or electronic payments, and maintain vendor records.
- Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Generate customer invoices and maintain accurate records of accounts receivable.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate with clients regarding payment.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports on a regular basis.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Expense Tracking:
- Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Assist in expense analysis and cost control efforts.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in cash management.
- Audit Support:
- Assist in providing documentation and information for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
- Financial Analysis:
- Perform basic financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Assist with filing and record-keeping as needed.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
