Title: Derivative Packaging Technician | Reports to: Derivative Packaging Manager | Location: Homestead, FL
A gramming technician ensures that our derivative products are packaged to the highest standards as we are the last team to handle the product before it goes out to the patient. It is important to maintain cleanliness, organization, consistency and most importantly, attention to detail.
A derivative packaging technician's duties are as follows:
- Ensures their station is sanitized and organized before commencing a packing session.
- Cleans tools at the end of each shift; including switching to a new set of tools for each new batch of product.
- Uses proper "kitting decks" for each type of product.
- Keeps a consistent speed of grams per hour to meet our goals each day/week.
- Placing the jar disk tightly onto the correlating jar and assuring the lid is secured.
- Using the correct box top labels, jar sizes and hardware for each type of product.
- Swapping cold tiles every 20 minutes if gramming any rosins.
- Placing the mouthpiece of a filled cartridge with the ventilation hole in the correct direction to assure air flow.
- Setting the Thomspon Duke machine to correct weight dispensation; correlating to the type of cartridge being filled.
- Inspects each unit before placing it into the bulk batch
- Assure there is no contamination present such as fibers, dirt other particles or cracks in the packaging.
- End of day cleaning responsibilities.
- Resetting your station.
- Other tasks as directed by management.
- Must be able to complete physical aspects of the job; lift 50lbs, sit or stand for the duration of the shift, bend or kneel to get the job done as needed.
Starting Wage: $15.00/hr. The Flowery offers yearly (or performance based) evaluations per the company's discretion. All full-time employees automatically qualify for benefits, PTO & Paid Holidays after their probationary period; which is 30 days. Starting wages are determined by several factors including experience.

- 21 years of age or older
- Can actively pass a level two federal background check
- Obtained their high school diploma, GED or equivalent
