Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all design functions, mentor a talented team of designers, and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Execute comprehensive designs for design-build and design-assist projects, collaborating with the design-build team to develop innovative ideas, cost-effective solutions, and enhance project profitability.
  • Read plans and specifications, compiling estimates for plan & spec projects, and conducting site visits to assess existing building systems and conditions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with project teams, stakeholders, architects, customers, and vendors
  • Maintain software updates for design and engineering programs, and perform heat load calculations using the latest software, ensuring accuracy, and providing valuable insights for project management
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policy, contracts, and all applicable laws.


Requirements


  • Strong engineering management experience in design-build projects, plan & spec work, and project management.
  • Proven track record in project management, enhancing project profitability through effective processes.
  • Possess a PE stamp in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, with willingness to obtain licenses in other states.
  • Familiar with industry codes, standards, plumbing systems, and mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop design concepts and create sketches and drawings that meet codes and standards.
  • Proficient in contract interpretation, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards.
  • Experienced in site visits and assessing existing building systems.
  • Skilled in reading plans and specifications, with the ability to compile comprehensive project documents.
