We are looking for a sharp, motivated and creative general geologist with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our team and assist in applying our ERS technology to various energy sectors. The role will require knowledge of structural geology, subsurface systems, techno economic analysis, and project development to aid in developing our Electric Reservoir Stimulation technology at scale.

Tasks May Include:

  • Assist in the preparation of proposal documents and client reports
  • Research new technologies/techniques emerging in the geological hydrogen, CCUS, and geothermal industries. Remaining up to date with industry developments and solutions.
  • Assist in the technical and economic evaluation of our technology for different energy sectors
  • Organize and maintaining internal databases of existing and new datasets
  • Develop workflows for areas of interest and risk assessment
  • Assist with the evaluation of geological exploration data
  • Build integrated geological/conceptual models (2D and 3D) with geologic, geochemical, geophysical, and well data in reservoir modeling platform, Leapfrog or similar
  • Identify and communicate geologic risk and uncertainty, generate mitigation plans, planning
  • Analyze geological data using software tools and techniques to contribute to reservoir modeling and resource assessment efforts.
  • Contribute to environmental impact assessments by evaluating the geological conditions of project sites and potential effects of resource extraction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate geological insights into projects spanning geothermal energy, CCUS, geologic hydrogen, and oil & gas industries.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or higher in geosystems/geosciences/geophysics/geology or related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of geological concepts, including sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology.
  • Knowledge of geological data analysis software, as well as data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, geophysicists, and other professionals to apply geological insights across industries.
  • Understanding of environmental impact assessment principles and a commitment to sustainable practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS office suite required
