  • Provides administrative support to Engineering by preparing reports, recording meeting minutes, maintaining product files, drawings, etc. Maintains Engineering Project files and Engineering Master Files in the computer system.
  • Assists with the administrative portion of Engineering Project Management to include building out new project files, maintaining proper documentation based on project type, helping build project justifications and reports, etc.
  • Handles customer product engineering support calls (e.g. Vinyl and Step test reports, etc.).
  • Maintains Engineering Request system. Ensures appropriate tracking, sign offs, progress, and all necessary change documents are completed and files updated as appropriate.

  • Maintains all manufacturing forms to include digital publishing as required.
  • Performs order entry and truck capacity utilization for special projects or unique instances. Keeps appropriate records and spreadsheets for all relevant activities.
  • Contacts all contracted scrap accounts on routine basis to establish customer requirements. Schedules material delivery and scrap pickup for customers. Schedules inbound material to appropriate manufacturing warehouse and communicates inbound material to receiving department.
  • Keeps appropriate records and spreadsheets on freight movement and costs. Maintains spreadsheets and records of materials received from customers for accounting purposes.
  • Supports EHS by collecting and spreadsheeting information for EPA and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Supports Manufacturing Quality by collecting and organizing mandatory Quality retention documentation in accordance with VSI and other certifications.
  • Supports a variety of Manufacturing activities (e.g. cycle counts and inventories) as well as continuous improvements (e.g. updating or constructing product lists, troubleshooting guides, new process documentation, etc.).
  • Provides additional administrative support to the manufacturing business unit as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • At least 2 years of administrative and/or customer service experience.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD viewer as well as Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal), organized, detailed oriented and a multi-tasker.
  • Ability to handle and resolve challenging customer problems.
  • Must have a customer service attitude, be professional and a team player.
