ARServices is seeking a Staff Action Control Officer to join our team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Research & Development Directorate (DTRA RD). In this position you will provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in the Counter-WMD Technologies Department Front Office (RD-CX), managing the receipt, analysis, issuance, and execution, of staffed actions and executive correspondence. The successful candidate will represent government interests and coordinate with government program managers and leaders independently across the entirety of the C-WMD Technologies Department. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability for strict attention to detail working independently, and ability to build partnerships and collaborate. Principal Duties - As the Departments staff action officer for all staffed actions, requests for information (RFI), also known as taskers, and executive correspondence: assess the RFI, coordinate with appropriate internal and external stakeholders who may have equities, and prepare the initial response for government approval;
- Provide analysis of each RFI in order to appropriately assess Department equities related to the RFI, and to provide refined instructions to each Division;
- Manage all traffic related to each RFI;
- Develop briefing materials for presentation and clearly, succinctly update both executive and senior leaders on the status of the Departments staffed actions on a weekly basis;
- Provide assistance to Division Operations Manager on any and all matters relating to Division operations as appropriate.
Requirements The successful candidate must possess the following requirements: - Experience: minimum 5 years professional experience within the Department of Defense in successive assignments.
- Skills/Competencies: ability to work independently with demonstrated accomplishments in successful task management and execution; excellent communications at senior levels (demonstrated successful project management to include communications at the General Officer / SES level is preferred);
- Behaviors: team player not afraid to be accountable and take initiative, anticipate requirements, implement self-developed plans for on-time, under budget success with minimal supervision; comfortable organizing and stewarding matrix organizations, able to manage and work multiple tasks simultaneously and successfully de-conflict multiple demands from equal stakeholders; leader willing and able to do all duties and functions of the program management team;
- Knowledge: knowledge gained from minimum of three to five years experience in DoD acquisition, program management or contracting is preferred; fully versed in MS Office software suite; prefer candidates with complex stakeholder management experience, Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) knowledge, and Special Operations knowledge.
- Education: BA/BS degree preferably in management, business, or policy. Additional qualifications are preferred (e.g., Project Management, or PMP).
- Clearance requirement: TOP SECRET (SCI eligible)
