Teachers On Demand, INC is looking for a Long Term Substitute to train as a teacher with our amazing team of academic advisors. If you have a passion for working with children and are looking for a long-term career with an amazing group of people, we encourage you to apply. $1,500 Signing BonusFree training and professional development.Established curriculum and lesson plans provided by school.Support from academic coaches for new teachers.Assigned behavioral specialist for students.Compensation (Daily) - $190 per day should you prefer Long-Term Sub role (non-STRS)
- $46,000 annually should you prefer Direct-Hire with STRS
ResponsibilitiesFollow established curriculum and deliver the provided lesson plans.Establish professional relationships with students and parents.Instruct students in the basic skills needed for daily living and independent living.Provide feedback to parents on their children's performance.Collaborate with other teachers and support the school in its efforts to improve student outcomes.Maintain a clean classroom and comply with health and safety regulations.Requirements - Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree (Must have)
- Valid teaching certificate or license (Must have)
- Have SPED experience
- Knowledge of the Ohio Department of Education model curriculum and Ohios New Learning Standards
- Previous experience working with young students in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and other staff members.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
