Right At School has been providing safe, fun, and meaningful extended-day enrichment programs for more than a decade, and today we serve more than 35,000 students in 17 states across the country. Our after-school, before-school, and break camp programs give students a place to learn, play, grow, and most importantlya place to be a kid!

Educator: $19-22/per hour (based on education, experience, and the interview process). Starting August 2023!

Youll drive the mission by:

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observation
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way
• Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
• Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Position Details-

• ****Must currently hold a valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Card to apply****
• Work Days: Monday-Friday NO WEEKENDS! Part Time Shifts- Before School, After School or Combo Before and After Shift
• Before School- 6:15 am-8:40am
• After School- Mondays 2 pm-6 pm (Early Release) and Tues-Fri 3:30 pm-6:00 pm
• Starting Wage: $14 per hour
• Requirements: Must have at least 1-2 years work in childcare center type setting
• Ability to meet all state-specific requirements including; Must already have a AZ Fingerprint card, complete a TB test, complete CPR/FA, complete Food Handlers Card

As an Educator, you will -

• Partner with the Program Manager to deliver dynamic Right At School curriculum, support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities and guide children safely through all activities.
• Engage youth in academic and social enrichment activities that expand & enhance school day learning in a meaningful way. Some tasks associated with this role can be more physical in nature as you are interacting with children and they keep you on your toes.
• Be asked to kneel, run, to lift up to 25 lbs, and have a lot of fun while doing so.
• Actively partner and communicate effectively with parents in order to provide the best child care for their children.
• Model positive behaviors as you sit with children to help with learning, walk around to manage the classroom, and maintain safety and stay active throughout the day while leading activities.
• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observation.
• Regularly check in with the Program Manager regarding personal and child performance metrics

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required
• 1 year experience working with children AND/OR college credits in early childhood/elementary/related field
• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
• Individuals who work well in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills with a varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements; Currently hold a AZ Fingerprint card,FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB
• Respect for and dedication to working with children with special needs
