We are currently seeking a committed and passionate Program Instructor to lead physical, and enrichment activities as part of our Expanded Learning Program at Dover Elementary in San Pablo, CA. Instructors must be able to work with up to 20 youth during expanded learning hours.

This position is great for someone who has babysitting or nanny experience, is wanting to pursue a career in education or child development, and who is passionate about teaching the next generation.

Benefits

  • Pay rate: $20 / hour (depending on experience)
  • Hours a week: 20 hours Part Time

Minimum Requirements

  • No experience required
  • Ability to reliably commute to San Pablo, CA
  • Commitment to education equity and leadership
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students.
  • Provide a safe environment
  • Be a positive role model for struggling students
  • Have fun engaging students in lesson plans that support school-day learning
  • Run community circles based on restorative practices
  • Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
