Hire Resolve, a specialist recruitment firm in the civil engineering industry.

Our client is seeking a Civil Engineer with expertise in road design.

As a Civil Engineer with a focus on road design, you will work on projects throughout the planning, design and construction stages. You will be required to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects and designers to produce high-quality projects in compliance with regulations and standards in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage road and highway construction projects from conception to completion
• Prepare project proposals, feasibility studies and cost estimates, and ensure adherence to design specifications, codes, regulations and standards
• Assess construction materials and systems and recommend improvements as needed
• Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure project completion within budget and on schedule
• Provide technical advice to clients and colleagues on road design projects
• Participate in the development of design standards and guidelines
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and provide safety training as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of [5] years of experience in road design and construction
• Strong knowledge of road and highway design standards, codes and regulations
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation and other relevant software
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Professional Engineer (PE) License is an asset
